- Check-in with Afton
- Had to incorporate entry surveys with parental consent, youth assent. These are required. One site is wrapping up program and has not completed entry/exit surveys and fidelity surveys which are supposed to be done within 72 hours. Trying to capture risk factors, demographics trying to see if there is growth after participation in program.
- Will reach out to site to try to get consent/assents and have youth complete survey to get one data point. Will also follow-up to see if they can get fidelity data by observations (watching webinar recordings).
- Has a meeting on 5/19 to provide clarification to the site about how to collect consent/assents as well as fidelity data.
- Check-in with Sandy
- Recruitment process updates – Has one candidate that will likely receive offer. Hire for the heart and train for the mind. Believes she will be great. Halfway through master’s program. Willing during the pandemic time to start working less than fulltime. 25- 30 hours per week. Will do training over summer to prepare her for fall. By fall need to have a second person to also deliver SRAE training. Have been delivering program through school clinics (normally have 10, right now have 5 clinics but not open as extensively as they were pre-pandemic).
- Will see volume of students go up once more students are vaccinated and return to school.
- Continuing to work on Jennifer’s implementation
- Jennifer not able to join, but Sandy shared update: doing a survey instead of interviews. Will have control group and intervention group—survey to those who have been in zoom calls vs. those who have been on zoom calls. Using college intern to help data analysis.
- Jennifer not working on video yet, but the organization has lots of video. Uses YouTube and tiktok to get these videos out. Between college students and high school students on youth board they’re learning how to reach youth through various platforms. Collect data on views.
- Working on figuring out what incentives to share with parents to help them attend group meeting and how to deliver incentives.
- Next steps
- Check in with Jennifer on survey and next steps on survey and videos. Are these publicly listed—if they are privately listed get a more accurate count because the link has to be shared.
- Sandy – ramping up over summer and would think these calls would be beneficial.
