Afton – Yes
Sandy – Yes
Jennifer – No
Jennifer update from last call:
- Technical problems with the videos. Couldn’t send out videos yet. Working on a fix.
- Going to find a few staff members at work to test small sample size before continuing to actual participants. That way she can work out any issues that might appear from testing.
- How has the pilot helped you to improve/refine CQI processes internally? How often did you use the template? Was it helpful and do you have any suggestions for improvement?
- Sandy: Finds the methodology behind the CQI is good. Likes how logical it is and improves her thinking towards her efforts.
- Jennifer: Agrees with sandy. Likes how the CQI form was sectioned off and thought it was broken down well.
- Refinements: Slows down thinking when you are focusing on one aspect at a time.
- Template appears overwhelming. We were able to simplify it for the group when we met for one-on-one calls but on their own it was harder to comprehend. Wanted more examples available on the form or supplemental document.
- What parts of the CQI cycle in the template resonated with you and which felt less practical or relevant?
- Sandy: Her problem was having a hard time finding applicants. Didn’t feel like the CQI template applied well to what her issue was and how to find a solution. She did mention she has another issue she would like help on in the near future with the extension though.
- Jennifer: Jennifer found the root cause analysis section very helpful. Showed us her notes she took during the cross-grantee call. She worked through the root cause analysis section thoroughly and found it helpful that she could break down her problems into certain sectors to discuss with us. It was easy for her to “get out of her own head” when running through the analysis.
- How helpful were the cross-grantee and one-on-one coaching calls in advancing your CQI efforts?
- Sandy found the cross-grantee calls helpful for discussing with other grantees. Jennifer agrees but thinks there were too many cross-grantee calls.
- Jennifer wanted to hear/work more with people who were experiencing similar issues. She felt that she was placed into groups that didn’t really resonate with her issues or worked with different populations.
- Biweekly calls were okay with them. It kept them on track with things, but sometimes other issues came up and they had to focus on something else. Maybe a break in-between meeting would be good to have.
- More frequent at the start but then starts to lessen as time goes on to account for people’s schedules.
