At this check-in, we discussed their finding from doing a focus group with parents and caretakers of students in their program. There were very positive findings, such as that the students had shared a lot of the curriculum topics with their parents, allowing for more in-depth conversations. The parents also said that the students had said that the facilitators were very engaging and welcoming. The site is also planning on doing focus groups with students by gender, and will also consider having focus groups with and without peer ambassadors.

During the call, we reviewed the CQI template - what they have done and where they currently are. Then the grantee shared about how their testing and data collection are going. They are having a difficult time gathering responses for their follow up survey because they are not able to track students. In terms of the testing, things have been going well - students are engaged, They were also able to do focus groups with parents and found positive results. Students are talking to their parents about the curriculum which has helped to improve communication between parents and youth.
